    Question

How do I know if Psyche Wellness Group is the right fit for me?

Choosing the right psychiatric provider is a deeply personal decision. That’s why we offer a free one-time 15-minute telephone consultation to help you explore whether our practice aligns with your needs, values, and goals. This brief call gives you space to ask questions, learn about our approach, and understand how we support our patients clinically and emotionally.

Your initial 15-minute session also serves as a consultation period. During that visit, your provider gathers essential information — your symptoms, concerns, history, and what you hope to gain from treatment. From there, you and your clinician make a mutual decision about continuing care, ensuring you feel confident and supported from day one.

    Question

What happens if I need to see a specialist?

Your treatment plan may occasionally require collaboration with other medical professionals. If, after evaluating you, Dr. Gabriel determines that specialty care is clinically appropriate, she will walk you through the next steps and refer you to the appropriate provider.

She may recommend specialists such as endocrinologists, neurologists, OB/GYNs, dietitians, sleep specialists, or therapists depending on your specific needs. When appropriate, she will also send over your relevant medical information to ensure your care is coordinated and seamless.

Our goal is to make the referral process feel supportive, not overwhelming.

    Question

    How are services provided?

All services at Psyche Wellness Group are delivered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform. This means you can receive expert psychiatric care from the comfort of your home, your office, or any private space without needing to travel or sit in waiting rooms.

Before each session, you’ll receive a secure video link by text or email. When it’s time for your appointment, you simply click the link and your visit will begin. Our virtual format allows for consistent follow-up and continuity of care, even for patients with busy schedules or transportation challenges.

Your treatment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which may span one or two visits depending on the complexity of your history and symptoms. From there, your provider will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and short supportive psychotherapy integrated into your sessions.

We do not provide weekly therapy at this time, and all appointments are virtual.

    Question

Do you precept psychiatric nurse practitioner students?

Yes. Psyche Wellness Group proudly supports the next generation of psychiatric nurse practitioners. Our preceptorship program is hands-on and immersive, giving students the opportunity to develop strong diagnostic and clinical skills under direct supervision.

Students receive exposure to a wide range of psychiatric conditions, participate in patient assessments, and complete a required clinical project that deepens their learning. Upon completion, each student receives a formal recommendation letter reflecting their work, growth, and contribution to the practice.

    Question

    What is your cancellation policy?

We honor your time — and the time of every patient we serve. To accommodate all clients fairly, we ask that appointments be canceled at least 24 hours (one full business day) in advance.

Late cancellations or missed appointments are charged the full session fee, as that time was reserved specifically for you. This policy helps us maintain availability for patients who need care and ensures consistent, reliable scheduling.

THE ORIGIN OF PSYCHE WELLNESS GROUP

How One Vision Became a Modern, Human-Centered Practice

Psyche Wellness Group began with Dr. Gabriel's belief that psychiatric care could be more humane, more present, and more deeply connected.

After seeing many patients feel rushed or overlooked in traditional settings, she envisioned a practice where:

  • patients feel respected, not dismissed
  • trauma-informed care is standard
  • culture and identity matter
  • conversations have space
  • treatment is collaborative and relational

What began as her personal mission became a thriving telepsychiatry practice.
